Media Converter - JPG to PDF
Last updated: April 3, 2026
Viral Apps Studio ("we", "our", or "us") built the Media Converter - JPG to PDF app ("the App"). The App is available as a subscription-based service with optional premium features. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of information when you use our App.
Information We Do Not Collect
Media Converter does not require account creation, login, or any form of registration. We do not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:
- Personal information (name, email, phone number)
- Location data
- Contacts or address book data
Analytics and Crash Reporting
The App uses Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to help us understand how the App is used and to identify and fix issues. These services may collect:
- Usage data: Anonymous events such as which features are used (e.g., category selected, conversion started/completed), navigation actions, and app launch events
- Crash reports: Technical information about app crashes, including device model, OS version, and stack traces, to help us diagnose and fix bugs
- Device information: Device type, operating system version, and app version
This data is collected in aggregate and does not personally identify you.
Advertising Identifier (IDFA) and Ad Attribution
The App may request access to your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) through Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework. This identifier is used to measure advertising effectiveness and attribute app installs to ad campaigns. You can choose to allow or deny this request, and you can change your preference at any time in your device's Settings under Privacy & Security > Tracking. The App functions fully regardless of your tracking preference.
The App participates in Apple's SKAdNetwork, a privacy-preserving framework that allows ad networks to measure the success of ad campaigns without revealing individual user data. SKAdNetwork provides aggregated, non-personally-identifiable conversion data to participating ad networks.
On-Device Processing
The majority of file conversions — including all image, video, and audio formats — are performed entirely on your device using on-device conversion engines. Your files for these conversions are never uploaded to any server.
Document Conversions via Third-Party Service
For document format conversions (DOC, DOCX, PDF, HTML, ODT, RTF, TXT), the App uses a third-party service called CloudConvert to process the conversion. When you convert a document:
- Your file is temporarily uploaded to CloudConvert's servers for processing
- The converted file is downloaded back to your device
- CloudConvert deletes uploaded files from their servers after processing
CloudConvert's privacy policy is available at cloudconvert.com/privacy. We do not share any personal information with CloudConvert — only the file content necessary for conversion.
Data Stored on Your Device
The App stores the following data locally on your device only:
- Conversion history: Records of files you have converted, including file names, formats, thumbnails, and dates (up to 500 records)
- Converted files: Output files from conversions, stored in the App's local storage
- App preferences: Your settings such as preferred language and theme
- Subscription status: Information about your active subscription plan, stored locally to manage access to premium features
This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us. You can delete this data at any time through the App or by deleting the App.
Device Permissions
The App may request access to the following device features:
- Photo Library (read & write): Used to import images, videos, and other media files for conversion, and to save converted files back to your photo library. We do not access any files beyond what you explicitly select.
- Camera: Used to capture photos and videos directly for conversion.
- Microphone: Used to record audio directly for conversion.
- Files app: Used to import and export documents and other files for conversion through the iOS file picker.
- Notifications: Used to send optional daily reminders. You can enable or disable notifications at any time in your device's Settings.
These permissions are requested only when needed and can be revoked at any time in your device's Settings.
Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services:
- CloudConvert: Used for document format conversions as described above. Only file content is transmitted; no personal data is shared.
- Firebase Analytics: Used to collect anonymous usage data to help us improve the App. See the "Analytics and Crash Reporting" section above.
- Firebase Crashlytics: Used to collect crash reports and diagnostic data to help us fix bugs and improve stability.
- Firebase Remote Config: Used to deliver app configuration updates (such as feature flags and supported format lists).
- Meta (Facebook) SDK: Used for ad attribution and conversion measurement. The Meta SDK may collect device identifiers and app events to measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns. No personal content or files are shared with Meta. Meta's privacy policy is available at facebook.com/privacy/policy.
- Google Ads On-Device Conversion SDK: Used to measure ad conversion events on-device. This SDK processes conversion data locally on your device to attribute app installs to Google ad campaigns without transmitting raw user data.
- Apple SKAdNetwork: Used for privacy-preserving ad attribution. Provides aggregated conversion data to participating ad networks without identifying individual users.
- RevenueCat: Used to manage in-app subscriptions and purchases. RevenueCat may collect anonymous purchase and subscription data to facilitate transaction processing. No personal files or content are shared with RevenueCat. RevenueCat's privacy policy is available at revenuecat.com/privacy.
Subscription and Payment Data
The App offers subscription plans that are processed through Apple's App Store. We do not directly collect or store your payment information (such as credit card numbers). All payment processing is handled by Apple. We receive only confirmation of your subscription status to provide access to premium features. Subscription management, including cancellation, is handled through your Apple ID account settings.
Children's Privacy
The App does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. The App does not require any personal information to function.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
